There are several vision therapy methods that a doctor may use during a custom program with a patient. At 20/20 Vision Care, we use prismatic lenses and different therapy exercises which are personalized based on each patient’s unique needs.
Prismatic lenses differ from traditional glasses lenses since a prism will redirect the light in the lens. This can be used in vision therapy, particularly to help those who have double vision. The redirected light helps the brain two bring the two images in the vision together.
Various exercises are used during vision therapy programs to strengthen the eye and engage the brain. Since every program is personal to the patient, the particular exercises will depend on the vision problems you are looking to correct.
