Our team at 20/20 Vision Care strives to not only provide the best care for our patients but also to give back to our community in any way that we can. Being able to volunteer in the local community that we serve is a rewarding experience that we want to continue to carry out while we discover new opportunities.
Whether it’s volunteering our vision care knowledge, providing education or support to local youth, participating in fundraisers, or working with great organizations, 20/20 Vision Care partners with causes that we connect with.
As a vision care provider, we have the unique opportunity to create programs that help those in need get the services they require.

The 20/20 Everyone Sees Program provides an opportunity for the community to nominate someone in need for consideration to receive eye care services or glasses from us.

The Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) is a non-profit organization working to empower those affected by blindness and inspire them to live a fulfilling life through programs and advocacy.
Between 2012 and 2019, Dr. Clark Hyde and Dr. Cory McClung volunteered twice a month to provide assessments to those with low vision registered with the CNIB.
The Lions Club is an organization that depends on volunteers to help make a difference in local communities all over the world. The Lions Club has been collecting eyeglasses for those in need through their recycling program for decades.
20/20 Vision Care collects any glasses that you do not need or use to donate to the Lions Club program. You can drop off any glasses to us in-store or mail them to the Lions Club directly to:

Our community work includes visiting local schools and giving engaging presentations to students to learn more about how the eye works. Dr. Hyde has given over 50 presentations to elementary and junior high school students in the Medicine Hat area and aims to educate and motivate children while making it a fun experience.
20/20 Vision Care has been a proud sponsor of many community athletic teams and events including:
Dr. Hyde also enjoys coaching many local youth sports teams including Tiny Tots soccer, softball, basketball, and junior varsity volleyball.
The Ronald McDonald House Charity (RMHC) is an organization that supports families of children affected by illness by providing housing near children’s hospitals in Canada, making it easier for families to be together during difficult times.
In 20/20, our practice put on a fundraiser event and was able to raise $21,703.80 for our local Medicine Hat RMHC!
We feel that getting involved in our local community initiatives is so important. The 20/20 Vision Care team cares about your vision health but we also care about the community, and make an effort to give back to it.

We understand that not everyone can make it into our office, so we offer mobile services for those that are homebound, and service the senior homes in our area as well.
